There are two routes to work through this course. One way for experienced doulas / birth keepers, and an extra option for people who wish to become a doula.

Earth Path Sacred Drumming and Ceremony Birth Keeper Practitioner Training is a course that guides the birth keeper / student in supporting birthing family clients in a deeper way drawing upon the shamanic gifts within and without. Connecting with the gifts of mother earth, through ceremony, holding safe shamanic drum journeys for greater clarity, safe grounding energy work with the drum, and grounding ritual. We explore the UKs 'Celtic' concepts and roots of Shamanic/Seership for birth space holding.

As a doula, you are a gatekeeper, a space holder. The birth keeping path opens many doulas to more than the physical nature of birth.
You will be working with your clients in supporting them through their birth as the incredible rite of passage it is for them.
This course aims to help you feel space holding in a deeper way, seeing beyond the physical yet with your feet firmly on the earth.
This is a course for birth keepers who are familiar with supporting birth. It will be just under a year, flowing with the wheel of the year which fits beautifully into the flow of pregnancy and birth.

You will receive gifts of my book Pregnancy by the Moon and guidance on working with the moon. The Birth Path Book by Hazel Tree.

Guests speakers are booked to bring their experience for you in different aspects of shamanic work, shamanic birth, holding grief, ceremony. The speakers will vary each year.
​
The course will also include a rite of passage to complete the course for students. I feel it is important to really understand the growth that comes through acknowledging rites. Last years rite was a fire walk which was included within the coursework.

The course includes mentoring through the shamanic practices and ceremony.
​
You will be a certified Shamanic Birth keeper and Ceremonialist for the Birthing Year once the course is completed.
​
This course includes coursework and case studies to support your learning. These will need to be completed for certification and insurance.
​
Learning comes through experience and practice, this course gives your the key and opens the door.
​​​
It is a certified course with CMA – Complementary Medical Association, The College of Sound Healing, approved by Doula UK.

I began the first Earth Path Birthkeeping Course in Jan 2024 because I knew that deepening my practice in a more connected way was the path I needed to follow. As an experienced birth and postnatal doula, who has supported multiple parents, I wanted to move my support in a direction that honoured the rite of passage parents take when they birth and become new parents. I feel that modern society has lost its way around how sacred and special the birth of a baby is and I knew this course would put me on the track of reinvigorating this belief.
I wasn't disappointed! Eva includes so many ways to honour pregnancy, birth and the postpartum with the foundation of shamanic drumming interlaced with so many ideas for rituals, ceremony and celebration. She introduces modalities for energy clearing and healing as well as shamanic and meditative journeying.
All the content is accessible for those new to a more spiritual practice and delivered in an easy to understand way, guided by Eva's warmth, calm demeanour and intuitive support. There are lots of opportunities to integrate the practical exercises, grow confidence in using a drum and interweave the ideas in your everyday doula practice. Eva goes above and beyond with all her content to ensure you have so much understanding about all the different ways you can support your clients.
And most surprisingly, I underestimated my journey of self development and spiritual growth. The course was so special and bonding with the other attendees and we have become deep supporters of each other as people and our calling! Eva shares so much of her life long learning and her own knowledge from her journey that this course will have a longlasting ripple effect on us as practitioners, the parents we support and even our wider community. I have already secured a client who is benefitting significantly from this practice I have learned.
What I also found very special, important and unique about this course is the way it is deeply rooted in the lore and wisdom of this country's lands and traditions. We can appreciate the learning from different cultures but it is important that we don't appropriate practices not gifted to us or understood on a deeper level ancestrally. As a result, I feel more connected to lost wisdom in a truly bonded way.
